The DeepView SurveyPlanning is a module primarily intended for planning missions for our
autonomous vehicle the DeepCat. However, it is used by many others to plan surveys with not only
autonomous systems but also for both towed and hull-mounted sonars. Using the planning tool,
you can easily draw areas using polygons and polylines. You can then easily modify these areas
and lines by adding and moving breakpoints until you are satisfied. Depending on the type of
survey you are doing, you can set a line spacing that is appropriate for the task and easily fill out
your survey area. With the PRO module, you can also export your survey lines in formats such as kmz
or gpx so that you can put them in the chartplotter for the boat driver to follow.
