DeepVision's HM system is available in two different versions - HM Standard & HM Large. HM Standard is intended to have the transducers mounted on a pole with a surface unit and sonar box on board a boat or autonomous vehicle but directly connected to a computer with the DeepView software. This is then operated directly or indirectly by the sonar operator.
HM Large has the electronics mounted in a pressure-resistant tube. The idea with this system is that it can be mounted on, for example, slightly larger ROVs where you use the ROV's teather to connect to a computer with DeepView software on board the ship. Depending on what the ROV looks like, you can take power from the vehicle
and communicate with the sonar via ethernet.
Common to both systems is that there are a number of different frequencies on the transducers to choose from. The choice depends mainly on what type of object you will use the sonar to search for.
